2007 – Cosma SR1 Rear Cradle Line – FH Welding:
Scope: Robot MIG Welding System in two main lines and five sub-assembly cells, forty Fanuc welding and handling robots, four “Power and Free” conveyors.
Services: Amber Systems provided complete turnkey programming for the entire project. This included; Seven ControlLogix L-60 series processors, Eight Pilz 3006 ControlNet Safety PLCs, and Nine Panelview 1000 HMIs.
2006 – Multimatic GMT Truck Hinge Program – FH Welding:
Scope: Twelve station Bosch type linear pallet line and Four multiple station turntable sub-assembly machines. Five Omron CJ Series Processors, Five Omron NT HMIs, Omron V660 RF Tag Read/Write units, Jokab Pluto Programmable Safety Relays.
Amber Systems Services: PLC and HMI programming, start-up and commissioning. On-site support and system improvements.
2005 – DaimlerChrysler PMMK program – ABB Body In White Automation:
Scope: Complete new Body Shop for Belvidere Illinois plant. Over nine hundred ABB robots, over one hundred Controllogix processors, PILZ 3006 Safety PLCs, and Allen Bradley Panelview Plus 1200 HMIs.
Amber Systems Services: Played a significant role in initial concept and development of code templates, routines, and drivers for this program. These were then used by all staff and contract programmers commissioning sub-sections of this project at ABB Brampton, Ontario and in two separate facilities in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Amber Systems also undertook the programming and start-up of some of these systems in Brampton then provided 6 months on-site start-up services at Belvedere, Illinois.
2005 – Honda Link Arm Weld Cell Revamp – F&P Manufacturing Ltd.:
Scope: Two station MIG welding cell with a Motoman U16 (ERC) robot.
Amber Systems Services: Replaced all machine controls and wiring. Designed and built anew control panel with SLC504 PLC and new operators panel with PanelView600. Wired six quick-change tools and provided robot programming all.
2004 – Oxford Mercedes 164/251 program – ABB Body In White Automation:
Scope: Automation for all Mercedes 164(M-Class) and 251(R-Class) underbody components for new Oxford Automotive plant in McCalla Alabama. Controllogix processors, PILZ 3006 Safety PLCs, and Allen Bradley Panelview Plus 1200 HMIs.
Amber Systems Services: Provided programming and start-up services at ABB Brampton then 7 months on-site in Alabama.
2004 – CAMI Equinox Program – Pico Comau Michigan:
Amber Systems Services: Provided programming and start-up services at Cami Ingersol for new Body Shop.
2003 – Mancor I-Beam Sub-Arc Welding System – Nutech Engineering:
Scope: Automatic Sub-arc welding system with SLC 500 PLC, two 10 HP. DC Drives, two Lincoln Twin-Arc Sub-Arc weld units.
Amber Systems Services: Complete Electrical and pneumatic design and program. Developed a Visual Basic application to allow plant management personnel to download production recipes and monitor machine operation from office PCs.
